Who Knew?! Good ol' Elmer's glue does the trick! I tried starch... they just slid sadly down the window pane. Then some semi permanent quilting spray... after about 15 minutes of me thinking how clever I was, they just fell off.
AH AHH! A little dab around the edges and Wa-LA! Beautiful! I'll take a pic and post when I get the camera going.

Crochet Doilles

My friend, that I've known since Jr. High School, died last week. She was a gentle soul, who took care of her Alzheimered mother for ears. During those years she spent sitting at home, she knitted and crocheted beautiful and blue ribbon winning creations. I received 8 of her doiles. Now I want to display them. But how?
My idea is to apply them, somehow, to my quilting studio window. I'll keep you abreast of my progress.

Baseball

Watching Father and Son playing on the same team. A far cry from the teenage years.
This is a time I thought never would come, and I am so thankful that it has.

Now to the fun stuff

It's weird that I am compelled to finish the traditional project, ie: that floral table runner before I feel that I can start on the next art quilt challenge.
The deadline is March 1st so I better get started. One of my favorite quilt shops, Intown Quilters, in Atlanta is sponsoring the contest and it should be fun.
Hint: Cuppa coffee anyone?

Binding

Now to finish my table runner present for my friend. But Oh, Those TINY ---- Little ------ Stitches! The worst part but having it look bea-u-ti-ful.

Inspiration

On the boat, waiting for inspiration to strike. As I'm surfing the web, I just found a new site: Blip.tv Yes, it isn't a ".com" website. It's a ".tv" website. I did a search for "art quilts" and was surprised how artists are using the site for tutorials and to show their work, It's pretty Kewl!
I'm inspired!

January 16th - left over holiday

After dozens of trips to the attic to put them away, Damn! I found more Christmas decoration stuff, ie: bath hand towels, a couple of candles, etc. Now to get My Darling Ken to open up the attic, AGAIN, to put them away too. Maybe during half time????

Rocket Quilters

My quilting guild meets today. I haven't been able to attend for about a year, because I've been taking care of our grandson on the day of the meeting. I'm looking forward to seeing my ol' quilting pals. They inspire me in ways that are so unexpected.

New Year Intentions

The tree came down today and the decorations went up in the attic. The process helps me to reflect on the past year and how I've been directing my focus. Last year was directed toward helping our daughter and her son, sweet baby James.(He's not such a baby though.... 4 years old. I just like the James Taylor song reference.)
2011 is holding new ideas for me to find and the letting go of old ones, I guess.
