Hospice

Sitting with Barbara, as she dozes the light sleep of morphine, under the tongue. She's surprised everyone and recovered from her leg surgery, 42 stitches later.
Everyone has been very helpful here at the Hospice floor, of Weusthoff Hospital. She has improved daily and tomorrow... if she continues to do well.... will be discharged to Huntington Nursing Home. We're telling Barbara that it's for rehab, but we all think that it will be more permanent. That being said, she's surprised us before and she could do it again.
Rachel's Christmas quilt is on the design wall calling to me, but I must wait here for the evaluation person from Huntington to arrive. Barbara has some confusion, so I want to be available to answer any questions she may have.
